About the Artist – Dr. Vineet Gupta
Hey, I am Dr. Vineet Gupta, a MBBS doctor by profession, but with a deep passion for art, history, and culture. I’m a self-taught artist with a special love for traditional Indian art forms, and I’ve created ‘Scrolls by V‘ to showcase the beauty of these rich, ancient techniques, infused with modern themes.
As an avid lover of history, I draw inspiration from legends and stories that have shaped Indian culture, keeping alive the aesthetics of traditional storytelling scrolls. While I may not claim to master the centuries-old techniques that require years of dedication, my goal is to bring these traditions into the contemporary world with respect and reverence.
I present my works in the traditional scroll format, often painted on fabric canvas, to honor the legacy of our ancestors who used this medium to convey narratives. Each piece is an attempt to capture the essence of Indian history and mythology, while also incorporating modern, personal themes that resonate today.
